With the opening of the 2024 Thanksgiving Celebration, a new general, George Monck, has been released in Evony. This general is good at leading mounted troops and will bring the best HP bonus to mounted troops. This guide shows all of his buffs and upgrade requirements and summarizes how to obtain this general. Besides, we also provide some suggestions for using George Monck through theoretical data comparison and general combination experiments.
The Story of George Monck
In 17th-century England, George Monck, the 1st Duke of Albemarle, blazed a legendary path with his military brilliance and unyielding resolve.
Monck threw himself into battle from his youth, proving his courage from the Cádiz expedition to quelling Irish uprisings. As fleet commander in the First Anglo-Dutch War, he led daring assaults. At Dungeness and Portland, he struck heavy blows to the Dutch navy, showcasing his unmatched strategic prowess.
In 1659, Monck rose amid crisis, crushing opposition and securing Charles II’s return. In the Second Anglo-Dutch War, he turned the tide at the Four Days’ Battle with fierce determination.
Later, Monck focused on his estate and charity work, his kindness and duty earning the admiration and love of his people. In 1670, George Monck passed away in London, his legacy forever shining in Britain’s history.
Special Skill – Monarchy Restoration
Basic skill:
Increases mounted troops’ attack by 50% when he is leading the army to attack.
Increases ground troops and mounted troops’ defense and HP by 40% when he brings any Dragon or Spiritual Beast to attack.
Enhance the general to get a stronger special skill buff. After Enhance reaches 5 gold stars, you can start ascending to unlock new buffs. The 5th gold star requires the general to reach Lv22.
Ascending attributes:
1* – Marching mounted troop defense and HP +15%
2* – Marching troop death-into-wounded rate +8%
3* – When attacking, mounted troop attack +35% and march size capacity +8%
4* – Marching ground and mounted troop attack and HP +15%
5* – Marching mounted troop attack +40%, defense and HP +25%

- Mounted Troop Assault: mounted troop attack and HP +10%
- Formation: ground and mounted troop attack +10%
- Mounted Troop Ares: mounted troop attack, HP, and defense +10%
- Duke of Albemarle: marching mounted troop attack +50%, HP and defense +30%
The Covenant of George Monck
George Monck’s covenanted generals are Queen Victoria, Edward III, and John Hunyadi.
When the total basic attributes of the above 4 generals reach the following values, the corresponding covenant buffs can be activated.
- 10,000 – War: march speed +10%
- 12,000 – Cooperation: mounted troop training cap +10% (take effect unconditionally)
- 14,000 – Peace: marching mounted troop attack +5%
- 16,000 – Faith: marching mounted troop defense +10%; in-rally mounted troop attack +10% (take effect unconditionally)
- 19,500 – Honor: marching mounted troop HP +10%
- 22,500 – Civilization: mounted troop attack +5%; in-rally mounted troop defense +10%
Except for those specially marked in the following, the others are only effective for General George Monck.
Before you activate the above buffs, you need to use each 50 covenant stones to unlock each covenant attribute.

General Tokens
There is no time limit for obtaining this general through general tokens, and at least 3 tokens contain this general in the token pool.

Among them, the probability of obtaining this general through Epic Historic General (Premium) is the highest.
You can obtain them in Evony in many ways, such as some big packages, “Limited Offer”, champions’ loyalty, and some special events.

Historic General Summoning Event
Each time this event is open, you have a chance to summon George Monck.
Summoning requires the consumption of “Epic Historic General (Glory)”. You can get it from tier 5 festival event packages.
During the 2024 Thanksgiving Celebration, the probability of summoning George Monck is greatly increased, and he will be summoned within 6 times.
